If I Were A Bird Essay Example for Free
If I Were A Bird Essay If I were a bird! As a little bird-maybe a nightingale or an innocent dove-if I were born on this earth, I would have been very happy. As a nightingale, I would be adored by the people for my sweet songs. I would have built my tiny nest on the top branch of a tree. My nest would give shelter to me and my brethren. From the top of the tree, I could see the greenery of the fields, the flowing rivers and the far horizon. In a storm, my nest would be swung to and fro, without being detached from the tree. I would pass my life, living in that nest in summer, monsoon, or winter. A free bird I would have been, without any burden of thought or tension like that of the human beings. I would fly to any part of the world, and watch various lands and people and their way of life, their joys and sorrows, their failures and successes. From high in the sky, I would watch the broad river flowing like a thin stream, and a stream like a line of white thread, and on the railway lines the wagons and compartments like match-boxes, and also the trees and fields jinn reduced sizes, as are drawn on the pages of a picture book. After landing on the ground, I would settle on a tree pear a park in order to watch downward the innocent children playing gaily on the green lawn. A bird with two strong wings, some day I could fly to a fairy land and see many strange things that I cannot even imagine now. As an aero plane flies to distant lands, or as the migratory birds cross the oceans and mountains every year to reach distant lands to settle their temporarily, I would have also travelled to an unknown land and migrate there for a Couple of months along with other species of birds which are rare in my native land. That would have been, no doubt, a strange experience for me. As a human being in this birth, I have very little scope to visit distant lands and meet new people and know how do they live and behave. But as a bird, it could be my sweet will to fly easily to any place I liked. My wings would carry me any where that my mind would desire. As a nightingale, I would sing happily, when at night there was the full moon in the cloudless sky, and cool breeze blew creating soft waves on the faces of the paddy plants. I would sing to my hearts content the song of life and joy in praise of this beautiful earth and of God. If I were a bird, I would like to be one of the small species, cute and beautiful. I would love to be a tiny mania that is beautiful, tiny and above all, it is a bird that man can keep as a pet. I would love to stay with men, study their ways and enjoy their company. This I would be able to do with men as, God have given the mania a power of speech just like men. It talks like a human being, has a sweet voice and, above all also has a great capacity to learn whatever it is taught. If I were to be a bird, I would like my life to be a beautiful blend of freedom of flying in the high skies and the love and care given by man. I see advantages in both and find it difficult to make a choice. My ambition as a bird would be able to fly high as high can be, like any other bird. This would give me an insight into what all exists in the atmosphere. I would also be able to assess first hand, the life of birds as a community, the advantages and the disadvantages they live with. I would share my experiences with my kin and understand the difficult ways of life. I would attain knowledge of lives of birds big and small as I would move with them and conversing with them while flying high in the air, or sitting on trees with my other colleagues. Though I would love all this, at the same time I would love to become a pet in a nice family. This family would keep me closed in a cage lest I fly off. Here, in the family I would learn to be controlled and restricted. It would be no doubt a punishment of sorts to be tied down in a cage but I feel so happy imagining the love and care I would get from each member of the family that would adopt me. Here, at home, I would be served food in a platter, water in a dish in a right royal style. Aha! What a life that could be for me. Hunting for food and being frightened of bigger birds attacking me would not be a care for me. I would be a loved one of many ââ¬â what a wonderful feeling it gives. While living with a family I would also be able to learn about the ways of men. How many lives, how he behaves, and what his attitude is towards birds I would be able to understand first hand, being so close to man. I would thus also get an insight into all this. Together with all these advantages, living with human beings, my art of talking like a human would get encouraged and I would get several chances to talk to the family. I understand man keeps manias and parrots just for this art of these birds, of talking like men. My master, mistress and some small children of the family would teach me how to speak and what to speak. Once I would get the training to speak, I would be able to chat with each of the family members and guests. This would earn for me heaps of praises by all who heard me. This I say because I hear a mania has a very clear and sweet voice, and a capacity to talk like a human. If I were a bird, I would like to get the blessing of this combination to be set into my life. It would give me a healthy and relaxed sojourn in a family, together with free visits to the sky, trying out my skills of taking high flights. The two together would give me as if, the best of both the worlds, of birds and humans. Oh! God, please grant me this life, that is, if I am not asking for too much.

Wealth and How Money Influences Peoples Lives Essay -- Wealth Money F
Wealth and How Money Influences People's Lives Some people generate an adequate living working for others, some do quite well, while many people donââ¬â¢t do well. It is estimated that less than 16% of Canadians have more than $100,000 in their retirement funds while 38% have less than $10,000. Using money to make money is more likely to generate success. Using assets to generate wealth is likely to generate financial success. This is the principle in whihc my group is is based upon. Kiyosaki explains money does not calm your fears when desire forces you to spend. You have to avoid the trap. Rich people often have a fear of losing it all. A job is a short term solution to a long term problem. You must master the power of money. When the donkey drags the cart with the carrot on a stick in front of him, the driver is getting where he wants. For the donkey itââ¬â¢s an illusion. What intensifies fear and desire is ignorance. To spend your life in fear and never exploring your dreams is cruel. Just as in my business of MJM Productions. Instead of looking at how much certain ventures will cost, we must look at the posibilities which will occur as a result of that venture. Money does not calm your fears when desire forces you to spend. Therefore it is essential that the accumulation of money does not blind me and my cohorts from our prime objective of empowering ourselves. Choose your thoughts. Think long-term and ask yourself: "Is this the best possible solution to my problem?" There is an old expression that "I am too busy working to make money." When you are too busy, you miss many opportunities. You often go into a restaurant and see a lot of things done wrong. Why canââ¬â¢t the manager see these things? Because he is too busy working IN the business ... ...before you pay any other bills. Then you will be motivated to find the money to pay all the other bills. Look after number one. Choose friends carefully. The power of association. Learn from all of them, whether they have money or not. When I seek out people who have money, I am not after their money but their ideas. Donââ¬â¢t listen to poor or frightened people. Wise investors buy an investment when itââ¬â¢s not popular. They know their profits are made when they buy, not when they sell. You become what you study. So, if you are tired of what you are doing and not making enough money, change the formula. This was a key factor in creating a sucessful business. Only by having co-workers which are dependable will ones business flourish. Be an "Indian Giver". Put your money into an investment and when it goes up, take your money back out and do the same again. If you buy some stocks and they go up in price, sell enough to get your original investment back and repeat the process. Assets buy luxuries. When the asset is generating surplus cash flow, then you use that surplus to buy the luxuries. Or in terms of this project, 50% goin towards a college education instead of luxuries.

The last video gaming system that you owned was a Nintendo 64, which pales in comparison to the systems available today. Since owning a Nintendo 64, your experience with playing video games has been limited to playing MMORPGs (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Games) on your personal computer. I have been researching your options and am constantly considering your preferences and restrictions.Your primary preference is game genre, with your most preferred genre being Role-Playing. Several other genres that you are interested in are Action, Adventure, Platformers, and Strategy. Your only real restriction is a spending limit of $700 for your entire gaming setup. Other preferences that have been noted are the systemââ¬â¢s Blu-Ray capabilities, and that the system targets a mature audience. The three most prominent video gaming systems on the market that fit your preferences are Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360, Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii, and Sonyââ¬â¢s Playstation 3. When it comes to online game-play, Xbox 360 has the technical specifications to make it the best option. One of the most important specifications in a system is its processor speed. The Xbox 360 boasts a 3. 2à GHz PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon processor, which is the same speed as the Playstation 3, but far superior to the Wii. When it comes to intense online game play with potentially dozens of other players, it is important to have a processor that can keep up. To keep the whole system running smoothly and minimize lag time, it is also important to have a substantial amount of RAM. The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have 512 MB or RAM, while the Wii only has 256 MB.At this point, the Xbox and Playstation 3 are nearly equal in terms of specifications that lean toward online gaming. What really pushes the Xbox 360 in the lead is their network: Xbox Live. As of 2011, Xbox Live has over 30 million users worldwide. Most of the games that are played on the Xbox Live network are geared toward your gaming preference of Role-Playing and Adventure games. However, due to the massive size of the network and the sheer number of users, even a less popular category like Strategy is available for multi-player gaming.According to Michael McNeilly, an experienced Xbox 360 online gamer, ââ¬Å"There is really nothing like the Xbox Live network out there. The network for PS3 is okay, but it isnââ¬â¢t nearly as big and has a lot of bugs that still havenââ¬â¢t been worked out. â⬠Michael Mcneilly has played all of the other systems extensively, but due to his love for online gaming, he chose the Xbox 360. Ralph Jones, an avid Wii owner and player, explained to me that he really has no need to play online. He mostly enjoys the physical nature of the Wiiââ¬â¢s gameplay, and doubts that the Wii is even capable of serious online gaming.According to Kyle Johnson, an avid gamer and owner of all three options, the Wii is not a competitive option in terms of online gaming. When asked about the Playstation 3 and its online gaming community, Kyle explained that there is a reason that the Playstation Network does not have a subscription fee. It is not adequate when compared to Xbox Live, and the number of users sometimes makes it hard to play the less popular games online. Clearly, the Xbox 360 offers the best of both worlds. It has a massive online gaming community and also boasts a powerful 3. GHz processor. With processor speed and RAM that are equal to the Pl aystation 3 and far superior to the Wii, the Xbox Live community is what gives the Xbox 360 the top ranking and makes it the best option in terms of hardware specification. Comparing Games Offered Table 1. 9 lists a calculated average of the two figures previously provided in graphs 1. 1, 1. 2, and 1. 3. These figures were mean game-review scores of all games in three genres, and mean scores of the top-five best-selling games for the three genres. Table 1. 9: Comparing Games Offered pt. 1 | Options|Genre| Xbox 360| Wii| Playstation 3| Role-Playing Games| 79. 4| 72. 7| 71. 75| Adventure Games| 76. 1| 76. 7| 77. 9| Platformer Games| 76. 2| 72. 2| 76. 2| Ranking| 1| 3| 2| Table 1. 10 shows how many games are available for each system in your most preferred genre: Role-Playing Games. Table 1. 10: Comparing Games Offered pt. 2 | Options| Genre| Xbox 360| Wii| Playstation 3| Role-Playing Games| 108| 33| 117| Ranking| 2| 3| 1| BEST OPTION: Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360 Based on the averages found for all five relevant genres, the Xbox 360 is the best option for the Games Offered criterion.Even though the Playstation 3 has a slightly higher total number of Role-Playing Games available for sale, it does not outweigh the fact that the Xbox 360 scored significantly higher on overall game-review scores. It is generally more important to have higher-rated games than a greater quantity of lower-rated games. For this reason, the Xbox 360 is the best choice for the Games Offered criterion. Comparing Target Demographic Table 1. 11 displays your three options and the total number of ratings received for each rating category out of all games available for each system. Table 1. 11: Comparing Target Demographic Options (Number of Ratings)| Rating| Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360| Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii| Sonyââ¬â¢ Playstation 3| Everyone| 303| 916| 481| Everyone 10+| 213| 355| 186| Teen | 535| 374| 529| Mature| 491| 57| 373| Rating Pending| 145| 61| 145| Ranking| 1| 3| 2| BEST OPTION: Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360 Based on all of the games available for each gaming system, the Xbox 360 has the most games with ratings in the Mature and Teen categories. Since you, Pascal, are an adult and prefer the types of games that are most commonly rated Teen and Mature, the Xbox 360 gets the top rank for the Target Demographic criterion.Sonyââ¬â¢s Playstation 3 comes in second with a comparable number of games in the Teen and Mature rating categories, but they are not quite as high as the Xbox 360. Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii has least number of ratings in each of those categories. The Wii has a staggeringly low number of games in the Mature category at 57, and roughly 150 less games in the Teen category than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. This makes it clear that the Xbox 360 is geared toward an adult audience, and will likely have more games that suit the preferences of an adult. The Playstation 3 is a close second, but still offers significantly less games in the Mature catego ry.The Wii seems to be geared toward a younger, less mature audience, and will likely have the least number of games that will fit your preferences. With all of this considered, it is clear that the Xbox 360 is the best option for the Target Demographic criterion. Comparing Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches Table 1. 11 shows all of the common hardware malfunctions and glitches for each option. This table also assigns a ranking (1 being the system with the overall least severe hardware problems relative to the other options). Table 1. 12: Comparing Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches | Options| Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360| Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii| Sonyââ¬â¢s Playstation 3| Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches| *Complete System Crash ââ¬â ââ¬Å"Red Ring of Deathâ⬠*Basic Hardware Failure (eg. DVD tray and laser failure)| *Power Supply Issue*WiConnect24 Issue*Dual-Layer Wi Disc Failure| *Complete System Crash ââ¬âââ¬Å"Yellow Lights of Deathâ⬠| Ra nking| 2| 1| 3| BEST OPTION: Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii Based on this table and other research, I have identified Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii as your best option for the Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches criterion. Even though the Wii does run into problems occasionally, they are rarely as severe as they are with the other options. All of the problems listed for the Wii are covered by warranty and are not worthy of complete system replacement. Alternatively, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 both commonly run into full system crashes, which render the system unusable. Kyle Johnson, an avid gamer and owner of all three options, has never run into a problem with his Wii, but has experienced full system crashes on both his Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The only reason the Xbox 360 is ranked higher than the Playstation 3 is because self-repair on the Playstation 3 is strongly discouraged.Kyle Johnson and Michael McNeilly have both performed minor repairs on their Xbox 360ââ¬â¢s, but have neve r dared to open up their Playstation 3ââ¬â¢s. With all things considered, Nintendoââ¬â¢s Wii is the best option for the Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches criterion. Comparing Movie-Playing Features Table 1. 13 below shows all of the media discs played by each option, and whether or not that option satisfies your preference of having a built-in Blu-Ray player. Table 1. 13: Comparing Movie-Playing Features | Options| | Xbox 360| Wii| Playstation 3|Media Discs Played| * Xbox 360 Discs * Xbox 1 Discs * DVDs * CDs * DVD-R * DVD+R * DVD-RW * DVD+RW * CD-R * CD-RW * Dual Discs | * Wii Discs * GameCube Discs| * Playstation 1,2, and 3 Discs * Blu-Ray Discs * DVDs * CDs * DVD-R * DVD+R * DVD-RW * DVD+RW * CD-R * CD-RW * Dual Discs | Satisfies Preference? | No| No| Yes| Ranking| 2| 3| 1| BEST OPTION: Sonyââ¬â¢s Playstation 3 Based on the media discs that each option offers, Sonyââ¬â¢s Playstation 3 is the obvious choice for the top rank in the Movie-Playing Features criteri on.The Playstation 3 is capable of playing both DVDs and Blu-Rays, while the Xbox 360 is only capable of playing DVDs. The Nintendo Wii, however, cannot even play DVDs. Because you have identified that you prefer a video gaming system that has a built-in Blu-Ray player, the Playstation 3 is the best option for the Movie-Playing Features criterion. CONCLUSIONS Table 1. 14 lists the rankings of each of the six evaluative criteria used throughout this report. In order to come to an overall conclusion as to which option to select, I have assigned reversed point values to the previously determined rankings. If, for instance, an option received a ranking of 1, it would be valued a 3. A ranking of 2 receives a value of 2, and a ranking of 3 is valued a 1. The total number of points will be shown at the bottom of the table along with the final ranking. The video gaming system with the highest number of points will be ranked as 1 and will be your best option. Table 1. 14: Overall Ranking | Op tions| Evaluative Criteria| Xbox 360| Wii| Playstation 3| Cost| 1| 1| 1| Hardware Specification| 1| 3| 2| Games Offered| 1| 3| 2| Target Demographic| 1| 3| 2|Common Hardware Malfunctions and Glitches| 2| 1| 3| Movie-Playing Features| 2| 3| 1| Total Points| 16| 10| 13| Overall Ranking| 1| 3| 2| RECOMMENDATIONS It has been determined that Microsoftââ¬â¢s Xbox 360 is the best option, and I would like to recommend to you several retailers where it is available for purchase. The price is universal when bought new, but may vary depending on bundling and other promotions. I have prepared a table showing three popular retailers, the nearest location, and the price of the Xbox 360 4GB system. Table 1. 15: Retail Locations and PriceRetailers and Locations| Price| GameStop(425) 895-833116475 NE 74TH STRedmond, WA 98052| $199. 99| Target(425) 482-641013950 NE 178th PlWoodinville, WA 98072| $199. 99| Walmart(425) 741-94451400 164Th St SwLynnwood, WA 98087| $199. 99| Throughout my research I b egan to realize that the final outcome would depend heavily on how much any criterion was valued. Based on your personal preferences, the best choice is the Xbox 360. However, if you decided that you valued having a Blu-Ray player above everything else, then the Playstation 3 would be the best option. If you decided that the only way to play Role-Playing Games was to use a remote and a nun chuck, then the Wii would be the best choice. It all depends on the valuing of any particular criterion. If you are interested in doing further research, the bibliography lists all sources used. My personal interviewees may be available if you would like to ask them questions, and all of my other sources have a variety of useful and reliable information. Based on everything I have learned from this report and my personal experience with the system, I believe that the Xbox 360 is the best choice for a video gaming system.Bibliography ââ¬Å"Console at Nintendo ââ¬â Wii. â⬠Nintendo Wii Cons ole. The Best French Grammar Books to Buy
The Best French Grammar Books to Buy A time-tested method to learn a new language is the grammar book. Reading and writing in books is an efficient way to become familiar with a new language. But some books are more efficient than others. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of French grammar books alone available on the market. With many claiming to be the best, the most concise, or the most complete, picking one book over another can be an overwhelming task. There is also the matter of learning preferences and levels to consider. Regardless of a grammar books quality, it if isnt tailored to your level it wont be effective. After a review of dozens of French grammar books, we have identified a range of books as ourà favorites. These books do not all have the same approach or format, and they target learners ranging from beginner to advanced. This list includes books that we use every day as well as the ones we keep around because they have been so helpful in the past. Top Grammar Books Le Bon Usage:Originally published in 1936, this is the bible of French grammar- the most thorough French grammar book that exists. It has been republished more than a dozen times and is a must for translators. This is the book that native speakers refer to when they want to understand or explain some aspects of French grammar. (French only)Le Petit Grevisse: Previous editions of this very abridged version ofà Le Bon Usageà were calledà Prà ©cis de Grammaire Franà §aise. It covers advanced French grammar but is less complicated than its unabridged parent. (French)Intermediate French for Dummies: Laura K. Lawless is the author of this workbook which covers high-beginning to intermediate grammar. It includes lessons and practice exercises. (English explanations and bilingual examples)Collage: Rà ©vision de Grammaire: Although it is nowhere near as thorough as the Grà ©visse books, Collages explanations are clearer than those in the books already mentioned in this list. There a re also lots of examples and practice exercises. (French explanations and examples with bilingual vocabulary lists) Manuel de Composition Franà §aise: As the title indicates, this book focuses on helping you improve your French writing skills, but it also includes excellent grammar explanations, with an emphasis on verbs and vocabulary. (French)Langenscheidt Pocket French Grammar: This tiny book offers very concise yet detailed explanations of beginning-to-intermediate French grammar which are not easily found elsewhere. It also has sections on effective communication, synonyms, idioms, false cognates, and more. A very handy little book. (English)Berlitz French Grammar Handbook: A good reference for upper-beginner level students, this handbook explains basic-to-intermediate French grammar, verbs, and vocabulary. (English)Essential French Grammar: This little book de-emphasizes grammar to concentrate on communication, offering just enough grammar to help you work on speaking and understanding French, without getting bogged down in the details. (English)English Grammar for Students of French: If yo u dont know the difference between pronouns and prepositions- in French or English- this is the book for you. It explains French grammar points alongside their English counterparts, using simple language and examples to compare and contrast the grammar in these two languages.à Its like a mini-grammar class for French students. Philosophy Ethic - Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle Essay
Philosophy Ethic - Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle - Essay Example This goes so far as to pinpoint the own weaknesses of the number of proposals indicated within the text itself. But what it contains and what it reflects speak highly of the way we live. He purposely sought to eliminate highly imbued ideals which are rather unfeasible to one that is attainable. This reverberates through the ages which stills makes through what Aristotle said centuries ago to the way we live in this day and age. ââ¬Å"What then is the good of each? Surely that for whose sake everything else is done. In Medicine this is health, in strategy victory, in architecture a house, in any other sphere something else, and in every action and pursuit the end; for it is for the sake of this that all men do whatever else they do. Therefore, if there is an end for all that we do, this will be the good achievable by action, and if there are more than one, this will be the goods achievable by actionâ⬠(Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics, I-1). This he expounds further upon by giving the two kinds of virtue, being intellectual and moral or simply ethics and habit including the modes by which they are acquired. This is the movement from potentiality to habit. Arguably, this discourse gives the hold of truth for which it was based upon logical value formation. It may not always be something that is easily perceived upon as a digested quality of human action but it is upon contemplation the very essence of th e fundamentals of our existence. Thus, the understanding of every action is set down as for the creation of happiness which is in contemplation with virtue formed by habit. Many conflicts arise from this as case to case scenarios would yield it true to it fullest extent. Letââ¬â¢s say for example that there is a boy, letââ¬â¢s call him John for consistency, who was raised to a family with close ties. That while growing up and to the present point he had

The New Woman in Kate Chopin's the Awakening Essay
The New Woman in Kate Chopin's the Awakening - Essay Example This means that for almost half a century before Kate Chopin published The Awakening, society had been engaged in a struggle over equal rights issues and social ideologies. As an outcome of this struggle, female part of the society had, to some extent, already undergone mobilization and emancipation from their socioeconomic captivity. The following research is to review and analyze on the example of Kate Chopin's novel about the "sexual awakening" and an unconventional behavior of a woman how for the first time in the USA, women began to bring the formerly private issues of family and home into the public domain and this way caused significant social changes. As many biographers admit today, writing a story of another person's life story is writing one's own as well. If we try to find out why Kate Chopin wrote her novel and how the society accepted it, we will often find the answers in the French women the voices of whom dominated Chopin's formative years. Many historians note that women during the post-Civil War period regularly took part in the marketplace, earned their own sources of support, broke with derogatory forms of financial dependency on men. Culley M. asserts that women "at all levels of society were active in attempts to better their lot, and the "New Woman", the late nineteenth-century equivalent of the "liberated woman", was much on the public mind" (Culley 117). In middle 1899, nearly 50 years after the women's movement officially had started, the social and cultural background seemed favorable for the literary introduction of Edna Pontellier, Kate Chopin's fictional character. The plot of the novel can be depicted in short as follows. The main character, Edna Pontellier is 28 years old, married to a 40-year-old New Orleans businessman who earn living for her and their two sons. She is satisfied but not really happy. During one summer at Grand Isle, a charming Creole resort, she has several awakenings. A real romance occurs between Edna and the resort owner's young son, Robert Lebrun, after he teaches her swimming and she gets the feeling of power and sensuality. Meanwhile, Edna makes friends with Madame Adle Ratignolle, a woman who is fully contented in her traditional woman role, but whose affectionate ways and insights draw Edna to speculate about herself and learn striking things. Being a motherless child and an intellectual Edna now realizes that she has married Lonce Pontellier only in order to annoy her family, and to close the door on unreal obsessions and dreams. She realized that she became a mother without particularly wish to be one, and did not raise that question until that moment. During Edna's summer of awakenings she starts, with the help of her female friends, recovering her voice. The peculiar, slightly sinister pianist Mademoiselle Reisz develops Edna's deep appreciation for music and inspires her flirtation with Robert, who, suddenly leaves for Mexico. After coming back home Edna begins to ignore her wifely obligations. Listening to her own inner voice, Edna starts expressing opinions, and while she is ecstatically alone, organizes a luxurious dinner party before moving herself to a little house. Later on Edna has

Introduction to Terrorism - Essay Example Terrorists commit crime and spread fear because of many reasons. It can be because of their weakness to fight for justice with peace and show. Terrorists want to show power and its effects to the other concerned parties. This might be the reason for the leaders to get involved into the path of terrorism but small workers opt for it because they have no other ways to go. The simple workers do not have education, job or any other means to survive peacefully. Many of the persons also are compelled to choose the profession forcefully. According to Ahmad, terrorism is an act of anger of being lonely, helpless and neglected. It is also cause of betrayal from oneââ¬â¢s own or supporting country. According to him, same happened when the United States betrayed Bin Laden. Ahmad recommended United States should not have double standards as he thought the United States to support the state terrors sponsored by Pakistan or Israel but is only opposed when it comes to Afghanistan as they are the victim then. Considering the features of the transnational terrorism of today, it can be well said that American Revolution was an also act of terrorism. In the eighteenth century, the Americans did many of the things that were similar to the acts of present day terrorists in order to get rid of the colonial powers. Still, one should remember the great cause behind the revolution. Just war can be referred as getting into war to win the battle without any consideration of human life and their rights. On the other hand, right to revolution is giving time to adapt the changing environment, understanding core of problem and providing solutions to bring revolutionary change in human so that they can understand the effect of violence and its result. Right to revolution bestows upon providing a chance to change. Hezbollah is a Lebanon based self - proclaimed Islamic revolutionary organization. It was formed to tackle the Israeli

Cinematic Arts - Personal Statement Example A critical analysis of my resume indicates an extremely disciplined, focused and organized mind, firstly as an operational specialist in the U.S. Navy and later as an administrative assistant to Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the U.S. Navy, I was responsible for the computer-assisted authorizations and instructions upon which the lives of Navy pilots depended. This was a high degree of responsibility and required great attention to detail and precision of communication. It also required me to quickly comprehend complex situations under stress and to explain clearly and quickly the logic of my decisions to aircraft personnel. In addition in instances where weather conditions could suddenly alter flight plans, I had to demonstrate the flexibility of thinking. My interest in media was nurtured within the political sphere both before and after working for the U.S. Navy. In the Department of Labor, I was most interested to conduct research on media outlets and to understand how the flow of information works between a government office and the broadcast media. I gained an insight into what is categorized as confidential information and what information is freely available, giving me a feel for information that might be "missing" when I read political articles in the newspapers. Working closely to briefs from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, I created publicity materials within a marketing plan, giving me greater confidence and understanding in the critical assessment of written documents and the message they convey. I provided the background information for press conferences from newspaper cuttings and in so doing had to understand the views of many different journalists and to have sensitivity for how subjects might be reported.2) Career Objectives All of the experience I have had win political offices has given me a great interest in understanding fields related to politics and business and how they interact with the media. I can see myself working in fields related to broadcast and film coverage, so one possibility, for example, would be public relations within military organizations e.g. the public affairs office of the U.S. Navy. One of my greatest ambitions is to be able to produce broadcast political shows on national T.V. that give people insight into the political issues of our time. In this I feel a PhD in Critical Studies at the School of Cinematic Arts will assist me greatly. My favorite media reading is the Washington Post and Hollywood Reporter, and I enjoy watching both Western and Chinese films from political blockbusters and thrillers (e.g. Oliver Stone's JFK) to martial art movies (e.g. John Woo) and those based on Chinese literature such as Red Cliff (dir: John Woo) and Crouching Tiger , Hidden Dragon (dir: Ang Lee). I feel my background to date is very solid in demonstrating critical analysis skills during my time as a U.S. Navy Operational Specialist, political communication skills through my time liaising with the media in the offices of Gov. The Global Significance of the Middle East Essay - 66
The Global Significance of the Middle East - Essay Example From this paper it is clear that most leaders in the region as well as superpowers try to take control of the area so as to gain in this viable energy business. The large oil wells in the region have caused its global significance as it meets most of the oil needs in the world.Ã The global significance and dependence on the Middle East for oil and energy resources is known to have begun with the British navy that intended to use the petroleum from this region to give them a strategic advantage during the Great War.Ã From this time, the region has been dominated by the great powers who struggle to take control of the looming oil business.Ã Today leading nations are at conflicts in the struggle to control the lucrative oil market, and an example is the crisis in Iraq, which the United States and Britain invaded pretending that it had weapons of mass destruction, and this led to war in the region, causing death of many civilians, US and British soldiers. As the paper highlights the struggle for control of oil in the Middle East has led to wars, overthrow of leaders and dictatorships in the effort of taking over the oil business. An example is the Libyan crisis, which occurred due to the authoritarian rule of Gadhafi, and there were protests to remove him from power. Gadhafi was a dictator and had used the wealth generated from the oil wells in Libya for his own and family benefit while other citizens languished in poverty. The West intervened to remove him from office, which some people think was a plan of the superpowers to gain control of the oil in Libya, one of the Middle East countries. Ã

Sex Education Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Sex Education - Essay Example The advantages of teaching sex education at home include the outcome that children will gain a sense of appreciation and high regard for their sexuality. This may be undertaken with parents who want them to enjoy and celebrate that very special part of their being. It is possible for parents to attain self-respect for their children if they are able to appropriately and relevantly teach them sex education at home. This self-respect is one that can be ensured by parents in their children regarding their sexuality, given that they teach them responsibly. This vision may be best promoted at home by providing a loving and thoughtful sex education. The demand that parents speak to their children is high in today's intense peer and media pressures. There is also a compelling need for parents to be open-minded and communicative to their children regarding sex education. On the other hand, the advantages of learning education in school include objectivity, collective learning, and freedom of inquiries, which may not be found at home (if parents tend to be strict and conservative). Children will certainly appreciate more to learn sex education in school rather than at home, given this home environment. There might be uneasiness between the child and the parents, which might preempt the child from raising certain concerns, for which the school may be a good venue.
Jazz Essay Example for Free
Jazz Essay Raised in a home where melodies are often played in the instruments we have or even just hummed by a family member while doing chores, I have grown to love pieces of music especially opera, orchestra and the classics. So when my friends, who are musicians themselves, invited me to one of the performances of a jazz band during the celebration of the Universityââ¬â¢s anniversary last July 9 at The Technopark, I was feeling rather apprehensive. It is not as what you would expect my genre of choice. I have always typified this particular field as an African-American influenced rhythmic and instrumental form of music. My ears were almost involuntarily programmed to have an distaste to these tunes. But since they started to play, I forgot my earlier impression because I was already enjoying the concert. Savoring the pleasure of listening to the upbeat of jazz music, I was jazzed up and entirely enthralled with the soulful performance of the Jazz Ensemble. In the hands of trumpeter Roy Barja, trombonist Marko Geron, bassist Jeff Flores and saxophonist Brad Cruz, the contrivances took on a unique character, and one whose ebullience can hardly be contained. The ensemble started with a bang of Jazz Story playing different types of jazz music that evolved within the through time until the modern jazz of today. Then, the members of Jazz Ensemble played classics like Victor Youngââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"When I Fall in Loveâ⬠, George Gershwinââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Someone to Watch Over Meâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Pink Pantherâ⬠. With the variety of instruments involved, lush harmonies and textures satiated my earsââ¬â¢ desire for excellent sounds. Each artist had a chance for a nippy glare of publicity. He would play short melodic fragments meant to be repeated by a section of the band with growing passion. They masterfully serenaded and entertained the audience through vocalist Mara Duran who did vocals on ââ¬Å"Orange-colored Skyâ⬠and ââ¬Å"It had to be Youâ⬠. The group kept the crowd swaying and crooning on our seats in time with the beat. Jazz took my heart out from the first notes that had drifted from the instruments up until the faintest tune that was whispered by the wind. That night, I closed my eyes with a trace of smile upon my lips as I hum a segment from the song Love is Here to Stay.

Strength Quests Creating My Future English Literature Essay
Strength Quests Creating My Future English Literature Essay Every person in this world has a set of themes that makes them who they are. Whether you choose to agree with the themes or strengths is entirely up to you. The fact of the matter is your life consists of these qualities. When I first looked at my five signature themes via Strengths Quest, I was unsure if some of the themes actually fit me. I saw some qualities in those themes that might fit me but the rest of the qualities I thought were nothing like me. It was not until I sat down and really thought to myself, maybe theyre right. My whole life flashed before my eyes. Who was I? I never really knew who exactly I was. I mean I had an assumption, but never really thought or cared enough about what my main strengths were. The program picked out five main themes for me, which were: futuristic, belief, adaptability, input and command. These were five broad themes that described my goals, my strengths and everything else inside my head. This described me. It is very important that I truly come to understand what each of these five quests mean to me because eventually I will need to use these in the future for a countless number of reasons that include relationships, friendships and my career. The career I want to pursue in my life is a history professor. I want to teach college students the last few hundred years of U.S. history. The objective of this paper is to explain how I am going to use these five quests towards my teaching career and the rest of my future because how I interpret these strengths will greatly affect the outcome of my life. It is my goal to understand me. Belief The most important strength that came about me was belief. To myself this is the most important aspect in my life and I truly agree with the fact that the program thinks its one of my main quests. It describes belief as having certain core values that are enduring. It also says it causes you to be family oriented, altruistic and even spiritual. (www.strengthquest.com). All of the above is full of so much truth. Out of those I really want to talk about my spiritual belief. I am a Christian and am very proud of it. God is the most important aspect in my life. In whatever I do in my future, I want to reflect my religion. This includes my future job. I want to show people how Christianity and peoples beliefs effected how our country was formed. Most people say their spiritual beliefs bring them closer to loved ones and they help them to solve problems in their life (Walsh, 2010). I truly believe that my belief and religion will help me solve my main personal problems. The results say tha t consistency is the foundation for all your relationships. My life is full of ups and downs, if I am not consistent with it. If I stop acting like a good Christian, I fall away from God. If I stop being good to my girlfriend, our relationship starts to crumble. These are many reasons why this one strength to me is the most important of them all. It affects my everyday life and will be the number one thing in my future even when I am dead. I know religion has had such a huge influence on this planets history and I want to tell the all the people about it and even relate it to how it influences todays society. This is how I will be able to relate belief into my future. Futuristic is another strength that came up and in a huge way, supports how I feel on life. No matter how much I dont want to admit it, I am always looking towards the future. Im not saying its a bad thing, I just sometimes think too far ahead. I have my future planned out in my head, not in black in white but in full color, almost like a painting on a wall. Its sort of funny because its written that futuristic people tend to have people look to them to describe their visions.(www.strengthquest.com) This happens to me all the time as people always want me to describe my strange, detailed descriptions of my future. People always tend to cling to me and follow what I want to do, because they realize that my thoughts are as real as it gets. The world has the resources to address its challenges (Docksai, 2010). What I get from this is, the world has the tools for me to succeed so I need to use them. Later on in my life, being futuristic can only be thought of as successful. It is said th at everything in life is considered the future and if that is true, how can I go wrong? If I am always looking towards my future, planning towards my future, and preparing for the future, nothing can stop me from doing what I want to do. Whether or not I like the fact that I am futuristic I have to embrace it. The more I think about it, the more I see it as an important strength for my future. Go figure. Command There was a strength that made the top five that I didnt necessarily agree with at first. And that was command. I never was the one to take charge or to lead other people. However I started looking into it more and it said things like you show no discomfort with imposing your views on others. I realized I really dont, and I looked even farther down and realized I really do and wouldnt mind taking command in a lot of situations. I always feel that if I get an opinion set in my mind, I have to share it with everyone around me. As time goes on, I found that your speech and actions will say a lot about you and how you treat others (Rivera, 2009). This is the honest to god truth. You can tell what a person is like based on what they do and the way they talk. Having command as a part of your self-being can never be a bad thing in my eyes. It shows you have initiative and are ready to take the next big leap. When looking for a teaching job, this can be a huge deciding factor whether you get the job. Whenever someone around me is in command, I always look up to them. I look up to them as being special or I think highly of them. People really do look up to people with command. This is what I want in my life because I want to be regarded in a special manner and be treated differently than my peers because it shows that people who have take command, gain much more respect. Adaptability Adaptability is a very important way of thinking. Basically, you live in the moment. Honestly, this ties in a little with futuristic. Thats why I wasnt surprised when this showed up on the list. Youre not seeing the future as a fixed destination but a place you create with the choices you make in current times. The biggest aspect that adaptability affects in your life is stress. Stress, in my mind, is ranked as one of the top killers among humans in the world. The way it affects the brain is terrifying. A lot of times when people worry about the choices they are going to make in the future, it tends to stress them out and worries them. If you were to just focus on the decisions you have to make now, the present times and the future will not be such a worry. Its always good to look towards the future, but dont worry about your decision making for your future right now, worry about your decision making for this time period. A month or two ago, I was somewhat worried about which college s were hiring history professors, which college would give me the best education to major in history and so forth. Then I realized, things will work out as long as I just focus on the schooling Im getting now and just taking my time. I became a much happier person when I finally discovered how to fully embrace adaptability. Input It is to my understanding that everyone in life has something that they collect, whether it is a certain item, words, facts or thoughts. This is what is called having input. I am inquisitive. The reason I collect the things I do is because it is interesting to me. I have many things in my life that I collect, which include things like memories, music, and photographs. Do I keep a lot of the things that I collect because I am too afraid to throw them away or let them go? That could be true, but I have this feeling in the back of my ahead that one day these things might become valuable one day but they are still valuable to me right now. A big reason why I keep some of my world war II memorabilia and not sell it is because one day I could possibly bring these into my classroom when were studying about the Germans and their equipment during WWII. I can tell you that when I look in the through my old wooden chest that I do revisit the event or evening, recalling the birthday party or the carnival ride (Greenman, 2005). I love this quote because the same goes for me. When I look back at everything I collected, for the most part I can remember the story that goes along with it. Later on in life, they could really come in handy. For example, those photographs that I could never just give or throw away could be sought after by a huge graphic designing company for a commercial or a billboard. You really just dont know what the things you collect mean to others. What I do collect I do because it gives me a special feeling that reminds me of my childhood and gives me a sort of fresh feeling. Having input has helped me save some of my precious items that I really could use to show examples in my future classroom and I plan on continuing to use the theme to help me collect materials for my future classes. Conclusion When I was first asked to take the test that would decide my five Strength Quests, I cannot lie, I was skeptical. I thought it was just going to be another one of those tests that tried to figure out who I was and would not have any sort of effect on me. Never did I think that self realization would come into play and a review of my whole life come crashing down. The test really did explain me on a piece of paper printed out. I must have looked at the results over nine thousand times. Every single strength described who I was and gave me a new sense of how to portray my future. With these being my strengths, the smartest thing I can do is to use them to my best ability and be the best professor I can be. This world needs to be ready for the next great history professor.

Coca-Cola :: essays research papers
Coca-Cola Company Analysis à à à à à The Coca-Cola company was founded in 1886 by John Pemberton, a Civil War veteran and Atlanta pharmacist. He was inspired by his curiosity as he stirred up a fragrant, caramel-colored liquid that he brought down to a place called Jacobsââ¬â¢ Pharmacy. There he added carbonated water and let several customers sample the new concoction. Jacobsââ¬â¢ Pharmacy put it on sale for five cents a glass and named it Coca-Cola. This ââ¬Å"inspired curiosityâ⬠has now grown to be the worldââ¬â¢s leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. In 1906 Coca-Cola opened bottling plants in Canada, Cuba, and Panama. Today they produce nearly 400 brands in over 200 countries. More than 70% of their income comes from outside the U.S. (1). This paper will focus on an analysis of operations of the statement of cash flow reports and a vertical and horizontal analysis of the consolidated balance sheets. Also an analysis of t he global financial condition of the Coca-Cola Company and the value of goodwill and other intangible assets will be discussed. à à à à à The statement of cash flows reports a firmââ¬â¢s major cash inflows and outflows for a period. This statement provides useful information about a companyââ¬â¢s ability to generate cash from operations, maintain and expand its operating capacity, meeting its financial obligations, and pay dividends. There are three types of activities to look at in this statement, which are cash flows from operating activities, investing activities, and financial activities (3, 2005). When analyzing Coca-Colaââ¬â¢s statement of cash flow, the first thing to note is a steady increase in operating activities within the past few years. These transactions affect the net income. From 2001 to 2003 the cash from net income increased from $4.1 million to $5.5 million. The operating activities is often the most important cash flow of a business because it shows the cash from revenue compared to the payments made for expenses (2). The cash flows from investing activities are cash flows from transactions that affect the investments in non-current assets. Some of these include investments in bottling companies; purchases of property, plant and equipment; and purchases of investments and assets. For the most part, these figures have remained fairly stable. From 2001 to 2003 it went from $1.1 million to $9.3 million, showing a slight decline (2). The last part of this report is the cash flow from financing activities.

Dickens A Christmas Carol and the Industrial Revolution Essay
Dickens' A Christmas Carol and the Industrial Revolution Besides being the secular story of Christmas time in an urban setting, A Christmas Carol, tells the sacred story of Christmas as well. With A Christmas Carol, Dickens initiated an ongoing creative process in the Anglo-American imagination. As a result of the Industrial Revolution and the growth and development of cities people's lives changed drastically as they moved from the life and traditions of the country into those of the city. As industrialization continued, for many people in the city living and working conditions worsened. As reports of horrible working conditions increased so did the literature of social concern for reform.. Prior to the publication of A Christmas Carol the ideas and concerns of various reform bills sparked increased debate over political and social issues. Whether or not Dickens had A Christmas Carol specifically in mind, it is clear that the Industrial Revolution was an important factor in making his Christmas story a tale for the times. Dickens was concerned about the working and living conditions during the Industrial Revolution, when the book was written. These are reflected in Ebenezer Scrooge. He is the shown as the mean and hateful owner, who could care less if his workers are well because he could always get more people. He knew this because during the Industrial Revolution there were more people than there were jobs, so people had to settle for worse conditions because that was all there was. When two men some into his shop wan... ...ooge indeed changes his ways he can in a sense "spoonge away the writing on the stone" and begin a new life. It is significant that Scrooge promises that "the Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach". This statement is indicative of several Christian statements of faith promising to live and follow the teachings of the "Three" God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. When we first met Scrooge, we are informed, and also observe that he is cold, miserly, and bitter. However, after the visit of the Ghost of Christmas future, Scrooge changes into a generous and cheerful man. It is clear that something must have caused a man who is really nice, turn into a mean and nasty person, in this case it was the Industrial Revolution.

Impact Of Renewable Energy Usage Environmental Sciences Essay
The intent of this literature reappraisal is to supply the reader with a general overview of the impact made by the use of renewable energy in universe on the development of engineering and on the environment. Recently there is an urge demand of utilizing renewable energy in the industries and other of import sectors around the universe since the current chief fuel resource which is crude oil and natural gas is consuming twelvemonth by twelvemonth. Thus in recent old ages, many research and trials have been done to use the renewable energies true possible to its upper limit. The first portion of this chapter will give brief penetration of the advantages that is brought by utilizing renewable energy on our planet. Next will be the comparism between renewable energy and non renewable energy. Finally the alterations of utilizing renewable energy brings to the universe at an planetary degree. 2.2 The advantages of renewable energy Well, for a start renewable energy will ne'er be depleted, hence every bit long as there is a demand for electricity and heat there will be adequate energy to provide it.There are several renewable energy which would non consume and go on to be around for many years.Solar energy is one of the most common continuously renewable energy since its reprieved from the Sun s ray.Furthermore streamlined H2O which run through the turbine in the hydroelectric dike produce hydro energy. The windmills blades which is turned by the sheer power of the air current produces air current energy.Hot liquefied lava beneath the Earth s crust heats the stones above therefore bring forthing hot spots which produces geothermic energy. The pile of refuse, rubbish and other organic stuffs produces biomass energy ( Matthew Hick n.d ) . As you can see, there are assorted renewable energy beginnings available to us as an option to fossil fuels. There are many advantages to them among the most popular being that they will non consume in supply, intending they will be around everlastingly. Renewable energy beginnings are non new. They have been utilized in some manner for many old ages. Unfortunately, low dodo fuel monetary values have stunted renewable energy s popularity and growing in the United States. But an increasing consciousness of homo and environmental concerns, every bit good as, a demand to happen non-exhaustible energy beginnings, will maintain it as a pillar for the hereafter. ( Matthew Hick n.d ) Renewable energy will assist in salvaging the environment merely in the simple sense that by utilizing renewable energy, the production of green house gas will b reduced therefore assisting in the bar planetary warming.Furthermore the O produced by the trees are much more fitter because of the fact that there are less pollutants in the air which can cut down the quality of the air ( Michel Jeen.2008 ) . Furthermore, the use of environmental free energy as a renewable energy hike its opportunities of going more safer than conventional fossil fuels. The use of fossil fuels causes the release of toxic gases and harmful substances, therefore heightening the opportunities of pollution or other natural bad lucks to go on such as acid rains and planetary warming.Renewable energy is environmentally friendly therefore it reduces the opportunities of pollution from go oning and the air produced in the surrounding besides is much more cleansing agent and reduces the hazard in acquiring diseases such as asthma n etc ( Michel Jeen.2008 ) . Since renewable energy is an extremely beforehand field to research about, therefore it needs extremely specialised equipment and a batch of research to be done, therefore it will make a batch of occupation chance and occupation sectors ( Michel Jeen.2008 ) . Harmonizing to the analysis, renewable energy and energy efficiency deployment costs would be gross impersonal or better, as the costs associated with energy efficiency stop up salvaging the state more money than the costs associated with deploying renewable energy engineerings and 4.5 million occupations will be created all the piece. ( Jennifer Runyon.2009 ) 2.3 The comparing between renewable energy and non renewable energy Renewable energy is a energy that can be replaced from clip to clip because it does non hold finite addendum energy, therefore it can be used for many old ages but still it would non complete. Examples of renewable energy is solar energy, weave energy, wave energy, biomass energy and geothermic energy.Meanwhile, non renewable energy is an energy that has finite addendum of energy therefore it would be used up as clip advancements by. Example of such energy are crude oil and natural gas ( Renewable energy.2003 ) . Renewable energy and non-renewable energy have important differences. Renewable energy would non consume whereas non-renewable energy someday will consume from our planet since the resources that is needed for the energy will somehow deplete from our planet. Non-renewable energy such as rough oil, coal, natural gas and etc are completing fast because the demands are higher than the supply of the natural stuff. ( Difference Between Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy Sources.2009 ) There is a universe power crisis whether we choose to acknowledge it or non. We are utilizing our non- renewable energy beginnings at a rapid rate, a rate that increases daily. Our non-renewable energy beginnings include, fossil fuels ( rough oil ) , coal, natural gas, atomic power, and yes even H2O, H2O is used to drive turbines to make electricity. Once we have exhausted these non-renewable energy beginnings we will no longer be able to drive the turbines that produce our electricity. ( Difference Between Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy Sources.2009 ) Furthermore, non-renewable energy which uses volatile natural stuff such as atomic energy can do lay waste toing effects to the environment if there is a escape in the atomic works. Example of such annihilating accident is the Chernobyl atomic works accident ( Nuclear Energy Benefits Debate: Safe or Not.2009 ) .Meanwhile renewable energy has a positive consequence towards the environment. Renewable energy can cut down the emanation of pollutants such as C dioxide and C monoxide which may harm the environment ( Union of Concerned Scientists ) . Non-renewable energy besides causes distability in the economic system, since it s a non sustainable energy therefore the monetary value of the fuel ever beads and hikings harmonizing to the handiness of the fuel in the universe interim renewable energy brings more stableness to the economic system since it s a sustainable energy beginning therefore it provides an stable energy beginning to the universe so it would non impact economically. The usage of fossil fuels makes the U.S. vulnerable to political instabilities, trade differences, trade stoppages and a assortment of other impacts. ( pier55.2009 ) 2.4 The alterations of utilizing renewable energy brings to the universe at an planetary degree Renewable energy such as solar energy can convey a batch alterations to the universe in footings of a new fuel beginning. Since solar power is obtained from the Sun so it will be available throughout the twelvemonth therefore continuously being renewed. Furthermore solar energy is a clean power therefore it s a really good option for current fuel beginning. Alot of new undertakings are being introduced to tackle the power of solar energy, such grandscale undertaking is being carried out in Hong Kong. Hongkong Electric Holdings Ltd. , the public-service corporation controlled by billionaire Li Ka-shing, officially started up the metropolis s biggest solar-power undertaking today as portion of attempts to assist cut pollution ( John Duce.2010 ) . Another illustration of renewable energy which revolutionizes the universe is wind energy. Wind energy is produced from the turbines which are connected to the blades which are turned by the force of wind.Since air current is a free beginning of energy therefore it can salvage a batch of cost and it produces clean energy excessively. The United States are earnestly sing weave energy as a alternate beginning of energy, which can been seen from the planning of a air current farm in Mojave Desert North of Los Angeles. It ââ¬Ës being called the largest air current power undertaking in the state, with programs for 1000s of estates of looming turbines in the Mojave Desert foothills bring forthing electricity for 600,000 places in Southern California. ( Tiffany Hsu.2010 ) Furthermore, geothermic energy is another beginning of renewable energy that can convey a whole alteration to the universe, it s an energy that is generated from the Earth s nucleus which is heated by the molten stone ( magma ) .Geothermal is a free energy since the beginning of the energy itself from our Earth. It s already being utilized in states such as Iceland and in Philippines. Philippiness authorities are seeking to utilize the full potency of geothermic energy in its state. ( Intermediate Energy Infobook.pg12 ) ENERGY DEVELOPMENT Corp. , the state s biggest manufacturer of geothermic energy, plans to put some $ 1 billion over the following five old ages in greenfield power workss. ( Amy R. Remo.2010 )
